I'm working on a harvesting game using Unity. I've been trying to get my player to wield a picaxe I created but I have no idea how to go about this. All of the tutorials I've seen are mostly for 2 handed guns and just go about it in a totally different way. I tried doing it the normal way I get my armor to be rigged on the player, using data transfer modifier but that doesn't work also. What is the correct way to rig a weapon / tool to a players hand?

  • $\begingroup$ you could for example make the arm IK controller a child of the weapon (give it a Child Of constraint) $\endgroup$ – moonboots Sep 2 '18 at 7:47
